Pints & Insights
in Collaboration with University of Canberra
Three short University of Canberra research talks hosted at Cypher as part of the Pints & Insights series. Maleen Jayasuriya examines how physically embodied AI can improvise and co-create with humans in real time, drawing on performance practices to explore questions of trust, agency, and transparency in human–machine collaboration. Steph Deering investigates how Torresian crows learn to safely consume toxic cane toads, revealing how innovation spreads socially and enables rapid adaptation to invasive species. Ehssan Sakhaee shares insights from over 15 years of international experience, focusing on how autonomy-supportive leadership and mindfulness practices can enhance wellbeing, engagement, and performance. Together, these talks offer a concise, cross-disciplinary look at adaptation and resilience—from robotics and ecology to leadership and human behaviour.
