Ancient Kingdom is our 7.2% Dunkles Bock, brewed as a full-on celebration of malt.

Deep amber to brown in colour, this strong German lager is rich, smooth and layered with toasted bread, toffee, cacao, subtle cola, raisin and sticky date.

A 90-minute boil builds depth and concentration, while restrained hopping keeps the bitterness firmly in support of the malt. The result is rich and complex without becoming heavy or cloying, with clean lager fermentation allowing the grain character to stay front and centre.

At 7.2%, Ancient Kingdom sits right at the upper reaches of Dunkles Bock territory.
